Weekend Fun ~ BFF

Sometimes you just need a weekend with your BFF & then all things are right in the world again.  She doesn't live close enough, but 2 hours isn't that bad. I spent the weekend with my best friend from college.  (truth:  there are 4 with the title of BFF in my life)  It was a semi low key weekend but I was ok with that.  Our time together is what I was most looking forward to. At the moment we find ourselves both 32 and single...Cupid get off your ass would you.  We are waiting!  I am going to skip the play-by-play this time and just give you the pics.  Can't wait to see you again!

With a $10 donation for Breast Cancer Research we will both sport some pink locks until the end of the month.  Pretty cool.

New Stylist Alert

I am now a Independent Stylist for Stella & Dot and I am kinda excited about it!  I love their stuff and have been thinking about this for a while and finally pulled the trigger yesterday.  So far I have been very impressed with the company as a whole.  I will keep you posted, the inside scoop if you will.

I am looking forward to having fun and meeting all sorts of new people. And all the challenges and opportunities this will bring.  Don't be surprised if some jewel related posts show up now and then.  Who doesn't like looking at pretty things?  I mean come on, look at the boxes even!

I should get lots of these boxes in the mail later this week.  Oh the fun that is coming!  It will be like Christmas over here.

Warning - sales girl here :) - please check out my new website below and like my Facebook page.  Give-a-ways and specials coming soon!

Living Style

I am always changing thing in my house because my decisions never seem to make sense after the fact. I like something for a while and then it just doesn't work anymore.  Not with everything but with a lot of things.  I have a full vision for both my master suite and kitchen and know exactly what I want those rooms, more on that at some point.  But that will take time and money.  So that is on the back burner for now.  My shared living and dining space has been a struggle since I have moved in (3+ yrs ago).

This is what my living room looks like now via my iPhone. The pillows are from Target and the art is a picture I took down the shore that was put on to canvas.  It was hung there as a surprise for me and I just never moved it.  It's too small for above the couch on its own.  This whole set up isn't terrible but isn't me either.  It's kinda funny since I bought this house I have been figuring out my style and I can see some sort of evolution of style if you can call it that.  I'll go back and find the pics from move in day.  And the pillows before these were country floral.

And then I came across this image on {Pinterest} today from {the life styled} and a light bulb went off in my brain.  Why am I trying to be someone I'm not in my "house style"  Neutrals rule my wardrobe - black, white, grey, tan and then my accessories - gold and silver.  Why should my house be any different.

While the sequins may be a little much for me, the overall look makes total sense.  So I will make a short list and look at what I already have to refresh my living room.  Here's hoping this is a look that will stick around.

I love this bar

The Dry Bar that is... Oh I can only hope they open one near me soon.  And I am sure there are others but the peeps at the one in Houston made me a believer!  From the decor, to the champs to the awesome hair I left with it was amazing from start to finish.  I have always had stick straight hair and on the thin side.  It has really never looked this good.  Would I be nuts to drive to DC or NYC just for a blowout?
