Apartment for sister

My twin sister recently moved to Houston.  She decided not to move her furniture from Connecticut to Texas because of the expense.  She then asked me to pick some stuff for her new place with a budget of $1,000.  Below are my choices and my first attempt at putting it together in mood board fashion.  Not too shabby for a first try - right?

Weekend Fun - Wedding edition

J was invited to a wedding this weekend. Saturday was the perfect day for a September wedding.  The sun was out, it was warm, the leaves have started to turn a bit.  We arrived at the country club 10 minutes before the ceremony was to start.  Only problem - no one else was there...

After talking with the bartender it was obvious that we were a day early!  That's right, an entire day early!   I never saw the invitation but he has a good memory.  He couldn't find it but knew it was the second to last weekend in September.  He just assumed it was Saturday.

We got a good laugh as did the bride, who we called on the way home.  In all the day before wedding stress this good laugh was perfect.  Needless to say by actual ceremony on Sunday everyone knew J as "the guy that came yesterday"

The wedding was beautiful and definitely worth the wait!

Weekend Fun

Hello Friends,
I have been busy the past few weeks.  Here are some shots to catch you up.

Took my nephew to our local Orchard.  We saw lots of different animals.  He finally learned to drive his Jeep stroller.  And of course we stopped in the store for some locally grown fruits and veggies.

Spent some time in Ocean City, MD and Assateague Island.  The horses roam wild on the island and once a year they swim from Chinoteague Island as a local tradition.  We missed that but still a very cool place.  You can camp there for the weekend, we just visited for the day.

My favorite summer dinner, fresh tomatoes, basil and mozzarella - can never have enough!

Spent Labor Day weekend at the Acres.  Saw tons of butterflies.  This one as huge and such a beauty and even stay still long enough for me to get a picture.  Enjoyed another crab feast.  Another summer meal I can't get enough of - even if you do have to work for it.

The end of another summer...can't wait til next year.

Until then it's time for hayrides, hooded sweatshirts, pumpkin pie, holidays and hopefully some snow!
